Video: This Robot Glove Uses NASA Tech to Turn You Into a Cyborg

NASA

... and gives you the firmest handshake.

Have you ever gotten tired spinning a wrench around and around and around? Enter the RoboGlove, which multiplies the force of the hand wearing it. At the same time, sensors and actuators on each finger tip mimic nerve endings and muscles of a real hand.

General Motors developed the glove, in hopes of augmenting the company's factory employees. The glove's technology is borrowed from NASA's Robonaut, which was built in collaboration with GM.

The Robonaut has lived onboard the International Space Station since 2011, helping astronauts repair and upgrade the station. Now, GM hopes the same technology will help humans repair things just as well on Earth.
