It's already happening in the manufacturing industry. Jobs once held by humans are now quickly and efficiently completed by robots. There are also signs of a similar shift to automated labor one day in white-collar professions like law and medicine.

But what happens in the future when robots have filled just about every known career? A few business and technology leaders have shared their thoughts about what a potentially jobless future would look like.

"We will become shepherds again," said video game creator Ryan Green. "It will be our job to tend to and care for our flock of robots."
