The task order is valued at more than $660 million.

Falls Church, Virginia-based General Dynamics Information Technology has been awarded a $661.6 million task order to modernize the Environmental Protection Agency’s IT infrastructure.

The EPA Managed Application, Infrastructure, Networking, Enterprise and Security Services, or MAINES, task order—issued through the General Services Administration’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center—has a one-year base period with six one-year options.

GDIT will provide a slew of services to EPA through the task order. They include cloud computing, application platform management, enterprise network and security operations, enterprise identity access management and cybersecurity services.

“Technology and ingenuity are critical to furthering the government’s environmental mission,” Amy Gilliland, GDIT president, said in a statement. “GDIT will partner with the EPA to deliver a reliable, secure and technologically advanced IT infrastructure that will support agency initiatives fundamental to protecting human health and the environment.”

According to the company, GDIT also intends to “standardize the agency’s IT infrastructure” to incorporate emerging technologies, enhance customer experience and provide scalability.
