The Navy is putting feelers out for an intelligence analyst, while the Senate explores the landscape for penetration testing.

Responses are due April 15 on a Navy notice calling attention to a need for the service’s intelligence analysis to consider cyber threats.

“As part of the required support, the contractor will be required to provide an Onsite Cyber Intelligence Analyst/ Advanced Intelligence Access (AIA) to integrate Commercial Cyber Threat Intelligence into the United States Navy’s daily cyber intelligence process and workflow,” reads a post made today on a federal procurement website.

The Navy’s sources sought synopsis will help it identify parties capable of providing access and support to a subscription database of cyber threat intelligence, as described in an attached performance work statement.

Responses are also due April 15 on a sources sought notice the U.S. Senate’s sergeant at arms issued last week related to support for the chamber’s cybersecurity information assurance team.

While the Senate is currently seeking responses “solely for information and planning purposes,” the notice states, “Vendors responding to this Notice and deemed qualified by the SAA may be requested to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation that may be issued afterwards.”

The Senate is interested in support areas including but not limited to penetration testing, auditing toward Government Accountability and National Institute of Standards and Technology standards, and system security planning.

The notice includes specific, detailed instructions for formatting responses.
