Agencies update Web sites in preparation for Hurricane Earl
The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the National Hurricane center have updated their home pages in preparation for Hurricane Earl.
Several federal agencies have updated their Web sites with new information in preparation for an anticipated hit from Hurricane Earl along the Atlantic Coast.
The National Weather Service's National Hurricane Center has the latest data on the hurricane's expected path and effects, along with alert information for communities.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has updated its Web site to include information on Earl, including links to the hurricane center, information on evacuation, and a statement about the positioning of emergency supplies. FEMA's site also has links to Citizen Corps volunteer groups, a directory of FEMA sites on Facebook, Twitter and other social media that also distribute disaster information, as well as links to FloodSmart.gov and other government sites.
