Video: All The Times Microsoft Was Actually Ahead of the Curve

Microsoft has been innovating for a long time.

Microsoft just unveiled its crazy, futuristic HoloLens, but this isn't the first time the company was on the cutting edge. 

For example, though much-maligned in the '90s, Microsoft Office's annoying assistant, Clippy, is actually a predecessor of today's virtual assistants, Siri and Google Now.

In 2006, Microsoft's Ultra-Mobile PC introduced the idea of a computer small enough you could carry it around everywhere. That idea still holds today, in the form of smartphones and tablets.
