360-Degree Video: Ride Along With a Martian Rover

NASA

Ever wanted to ride along with a Mars rover? NASA is now giving you that opportunity.

Not actually on Mars, unfortunately, but in the "Mars Yard,” a terrain simulation area at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. This is where hardware and software are tested before the rover launches to Mars.

NASA attached a 360-degree camera to the "Scarecrow," a test mobility double for the Curiosity rover and the Mars 2020 rovers.
