"The Little Prince" to Afghanistan

The Spanish Army has distributed 5,000 copies of Antoine de Saint-Exupery's classic tale translated into Dari, thanks to the efforts of a passionate book collector, Fuencisla Gozalo, the London Independent reported this weekend.

I don't know how to bring peace to that battered country, but I have a hunch 5,000 copies of a book about a boy on an asteroid gently tending his rose can make a bit of a difference.

Gozalo said The Little Prince will a universal message of honesty, loyalty and friendship to the children of Afghanistan. We can all use a little bit of that.
