Va. Gov. Gilmore Holds First Technology Outreach Symposium
Virginia Gov. James S. Gilmore is hosting the first of four Technology Outreach Symposiums on Tuesday at Virginia Commonwealth University. The symposium, Technology as a Tool to Empower Individuals and Communities, is a statewide effort to raise awareness on the impact technology is having on the commonwealth's economy and educational institutions.

Secretary of Technology Don Upson will join Gilmore in leading an open dialogue among citizens, community leaders and government and technology industry officials. Representatives from minority, disability and senior organizations, as well as small businesses a also re scheduled to attend.
