WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Intelligent Transportation Society of America wrapped up its annual exposition April 22, encouraging transportation officials to push for buy-in from local government officials and local political leaders to create grass-roots momentum for intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
"You've got to think through ITS in terms of its benefits to constituencies of the elected officials and the senior appointed officials," John Mason, mayor of Fairfax, Va., said in a statement.
