Calnet Ends RFI Phase

On June 3, California's Department of General Services will close the comment period for companies to respond to its request for information on privatizing the state's telecommunications operations. To date, 14 companies have submitted written comments on the contract, which a department spokesman said is still scheduled to be awarded on Jan. 1, 1988. The agency will now begin issuing procurement documents.
