A new kind of vulnerability makes it easy to hack a computer through a wireless mouse.

Most users might think they're practicing good cyber hygiene by doing things like using strong password and two-factor authentication. But as vigilant as you are while browsing, your mouse could still leave you vulnerable.

Security firm Bastille recently demonstrated how easy it is to hack a computer through a wireless mouse, impersonate a wireless keyboard and do some serious damage to your computer.

Specifically, this affects wireless mice that don't use Bluetooth on the 2.4 GHZ ISM Band. All hackers need to get in is a few lines of code, a $15 antenna, and to be within 200 meters of you and your computer.

So how do you stay safe? Switch to wired devices or Bluetooth devices.
