CipherTrust guards against data leaks
Its IronNet device monitors instant messaging, blogs, e-mail and other outgoing traffic for possible violations of data policies.
Although most security solutions are aimed at keeping threats out, there is an increasing need to make sure that confidential information doesn't leak unauthorized beyond the enterprise, either accidentally or intentionally.
CipherTrust's IronNet device monitors all outgoing traffic – such as instant messaging, Web logs, FTP, Web mail and e-mail – and reviews it in real time for policy violations.
If any part of the traffic is found to violate policies, it can be blocked or quarantined before it passes the enterprise borders.
IronNet also provides automatic policy-driven encryption for confidential data that is allowed out of the enterprise' grasp.
As required now for all compliance-based systems, IronNet also provides a full archiving capability for all outgoing and incoming traffic so administrators can perform forensic analysis. It also contains a set of report formats so that compliance officers can see how violations occurred and what enforcement actions were taken.
IronNet will be available in the first quarter of 2006 for about $6,000.
