Camacho was the driving force of an overhaul of the Defense Department's training capabilities.

In less than two years, Camacho’s team dramatically improved the content and cost-effective availability of training tools that personnel around the world need. The unit’s distance learning has been described as a force multiplier for military joint training, with greater numbers of personnel receiving training before arriving in theater operations.

“Mr. Camacho is a visionary and leader able to staff, organize and build teams of government service managers and contractors to a cohesive, productive force,” said Robert Wisher, director of the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative at the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
