The Environmental Protection Agency now has Internet links to programs that provide funding and assistance for new environmental technology.

Visitors to the Environmental Technology Opportunities Portal can access programs that help fund development of new technologies and obtain the latest news and information on existing ones.

The portal offers an overview of six EPA programs that support the development and verification of innovative environmental technology, as well as links to these programs.

This group includes the Small Business Innovation Research Program, Science to Achieve Results grant program, Environmental Technology Verification program, Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation program, National Environmental Technology Competition and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements.

Technology developers can also access a step-by-step outline for obtaining financial support and developmental funding, assistance with demonstration, verification and marketing and information on partnership programs.

The site also contains a section on technology description information and an online Environmental Technology Thesaurus.
