Wireless LAN won't work

In regard to the posted message about the Army going with the wireless trend, I disagree. What benefits will the wireless local-area network provide? The garrison buildings are already wired, and a wireless LAN brings up many more security issues.

I have talked to security gurus about using wireless in a tactical environment, where networks are put up and taken down continuously. They said it will not happen in the Marine Corps due to the security risks involved. I do not see the benefit of a slower, less secure garrison network.

Also, the Navy Marine Corps Intranet will be a catastrophe. The bottom line is, it will take three working days to fix something that a Marine can fix in an hour.
