A Department of Defense internal investigation has determined that the ongoing $10 billion cloud procurement was not tainted by conflict of interest. The Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure acquisition was the subject of a lawsuit from bidder Oracle, which alleged that Pentagon officials with ties to presumed frontrunner Amazon Web Services had tipped the requirements in favor of their former employers.

A DOD spokesperson told FCW that AWS and Microsoft are the only two bidders that met the basic requirements spelled out in the solicitation. An award is expected in June. Get the story from Lauren C. Williams.
