Computer system crash in Kent, Conn. a concern for officials

Technology can enhance our lives--or it can bite us when we least expect it. That is what happened to Kent's town government Dec. 20 when the computer system that serves all town offices crashed, causing an interruption in service and a perhaps-permanent loss of data.
