I can understand this. These men, and women, are career military. They've never had to interview for a job. they've never had to sell themselves in an interview. They didn't learn that skill. Actually there is a PFC transiton course, and it's widely attended most places a 3 day course, widely attended by anyone being discharged or retiring. But agreed not needed for General Officers, in most cases they've already sponged a degreee or three at taxpayers expense, and if once you've reached Flag Grade you don't know which fork to use, probably time to really retire.
