HP wins Navy contract for next generation network

HP Enterprise Services has been awarded a new contract that could possibly be worth more than $3 billion to help the Navy move to a next-generation intranet.
The services arm of vendor HP has signed a Continuity of Services Contract to continue its work on the Navy Marines Corps Intranet (NMCI), an existing intranet, while transitioning to the Navy's Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN).
