Senators call for speedier security clearance process

Two prominent Senators are trying, once again, to speed up the security clearance process. Sens. Daniel Akaka (D-Hawaii) and George Voinovich (R-Ohio), chairman and ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs subcommittee on Government Management, today introduced the (docs/SecurityClearanceModernization.pdf) Security Clearance Modernization and Reporting Act of 2009.
