Government pledges it will be more open

North Carolina ranks third in the nation in having government records posted online. But Gov. Beverly Perdue said that wasn't good enough. "I want North Carolina to be No. 1," Perdue said in a pre-recorded video shown at Sunshine Day Wednesday in Charlotte. "We live in a technology age, so I don't believe there's any excuse for people to not have access."
