Agencies get five days of money

Agencies will be funded through March 11.

President Barack Obama on March 6 signed a joint resolution to fund the government through March 11.

The House had passed the resolution 328-50, and the Senate had passed it by unanimous consent.

The appropriations legislation, which President George W. Bush signed into law Sept. 30, 2008, funded agencies through March 6.

The House on Feb. 25 passed the $410 billion fiscal 2009 Omnibus Appropriations Act to wrap up last year’s appropriations bills, but the Senate couldn’t muster enough support.
