The Housing and Urban Development Department is offering financial information for homeowners via a new Web site launched Dec. 2.The site — My Money, My Home, My Future — has several interactive features that teach users about financial matters, including a self-assessment tool, games and classes, HUD officials said.The self-assessment tool helps users learn about options for buying or refinancing homes and provides customized links to Web sites. Topics include the correct steps to homeownership, how to refinance a home and how to enhance one’s financial skills.The site also includes information on working with housing counselors and tips for avoiding foreclosure.
