Featured eBooks
Many of you know -- or know of -- . Wagner is one of the best and the brightest in our community -- somebody who is honest and intelligent, somebody with one of the best minds for the business of government. After a full government career, Wagner last year retired and joined the IBM Center for the Business of Government. He is also a columnist for Federal Computer Week. (His most recent column is .)Unfortunately Wagner had an accident this weekend. He fell off his roof and he is in the hospital, according to friends who have spoken to his family.Unfortunately, there probably isn't anything we can do right now to help. (Having been through my own tragedy this year when , people ask if there is anything they can do... and frankly, you just don't know.) At this early stage, his family is dealing with stuff so my recommendation would be to give them some space. One person, however, did have an excellent idea: Post your well wishes on . That way he will know that you are thinking of him. (Of course, you are also welcome to post here.)There aren't many details right now. As I say, I have heard from friends who spoke to Wagner's daughter. Wagner is at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Without invading his privacy in any way, he is reportedly in the intensive care unit, so it is serious. The most recent report was that things were looking good, but the doctors needed to perform some additional tests.I'm reporting this not out of any prurient interest, goodness knows. I adore Wagner way too much for that. But there are so many Marty fans out there...Speaking personally, and maybe it is just the Californian in me, but, I'm a big believer in the power of positive thinking, so... send your good thoughts to Marty. He is one of the best.I will do my best to keep everybody informed. If you know more or if you know of ways that we can help Wagner or his family, let me know and we'll get that out to folks and try to coordinate efforts.
