Nonprofit organizations have until Nov. 5 to apply for monetary donations from Austin, Texas-based E-Court Inc., an online court payment company. E-Court's chief executive officer recently pledged to donate $1 out of every transaction fee and donate it to nonprofits.

E-Court (www.ecourtinc.com) enables a motorist to pay traffic tickets and court fines online at anytime with a credit card or electronic check, and without having to return to the jurisdiction in which the infraction occurred. Founder and CEO James Chadwick said the company will select five nonprofits, each of which will each receive 20 cents from every transaction fee, beginning Nov. 19 and running at least one year.
