New Alexandria, Va. Headquarters for National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) said it will open its new headquarters in Alexandria, Va., Sept. 8. The project was made possible by a donation of more than $5 million in funding and technology from Computer Associates International Inc.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) said it will open its new headquarters in Alexandria, Va., Sept. 8. The project was made possible by a personal donation of $5 million in funding from Charles B. Wang, chairman and chief executive officer of Computer Associates International Inc., and by a donation of technology from CA.
CA donated its enterprise management solution, Unicenter TNG, to NCMEC and helped modernize the foundation's Web presence and online database at www.missingkids.com.
NCMEC was created in 1984 as a public-private partnership and serves as the national clearinghouse for information on missing children and the prevention of child victimization.
