***Two computer scientists, Ian Foster, with Argonne National Laboratory, and Carl Kesselman, with the University of Southern California, have won a Global Information Infrastructure Next-Generation Award for their Globus Ubiquitous Supercomputing Test Bed. Their experimental high-performance networking software is being used by the Defense Department, among others.
