Col. Walter L. McKnight has been named chief of the Air Force's software division in the Directorate of Architecture and Technology (AF SCT). Mc-Knight reports to AF SCT director William James.

Computer Sciences Corp. has named Thomas Robinson president of its Technology Management Group, responsible for domestic outsourcing. Robinson succeeds Edward "Pete" Boykin, who moved to the Pinnacle Alliance team, a CSC and Bell Atlantic unit formed to manage global-technology infrastructure for JP Morgan.
Robinson, a 25-year CSC veteran, previously headed Systems Engineering.

G. Estes Grade, former executive director of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Keyport Division, has joined Vitro Corp. as a senior manager for engineering and special projects.
