The Register: ‘British Judo in Deep Shido after Cyberattack’

Nonprofit // UK

Hackers accessed some details on members of the British Judo Association by breaching the organization’s online application system.

It’s possible members’ credit card information was taken by the cyber crooks.

An association spokesperson said “a small number” of members are affected. British Judo has about 30,000 members, but only its online membership application and renewal system was compromised, not its main database.

In a statement emailed to members and posted on its website, British Judo told martial artists: "Although we are still investigating the breach, we are aware that an unauthorized person has illegally gained access to a small and limited number of British Judo members’ personal details, despite the system being [payment card industry] compliant."
