NIST drafts smart grid standards

NIST issued a draft set of interoperability standards and specifications for smart grid devices and systems. This initial set of protocols is the first step in a three phase plan. NIST says this document comes after two public meetings with stakeholders as part of this first phase, which also includes the development of a smart grid architecture and cybersecurity standards.
