Letter: Health benefits should be up to the company
A reader says the new law requiring agencies to ask contractors about the health benefits they offer their employees is a waste of resources.
Regarding “Law requires agencies to ask contractors about health benefits”: This is just another law to waste both government resources as well as contractors’. Employees almost always have the option to choose to take the health benefits, and companies should have the options on what benefits to offer, especially the small ones that often cannot afford many of the benefits. So why does the government have to waste its time as well as the contractors’ to check this out?
