Ronald Cournoyer, who had been CACI's head of business development for managed network services, is now the company's senior VP for homeland security.

CACI International today named Ronald Cournoyer as senior vice president for homeland security.

Cournoyer will be the integrator's point of contact for companywide initiatives in the homeland security space. He previously was head of business development for CACI's managed network services business. His integrator experience also includes stints at BDM International and TRW.

For homeland security business, larger systems integrators typically rely on matrix management approaches in which the company deploys a relatively small core group to orchestrate homeland security resources from across the organization.

CACI provides solutions in such areas as knowledge management and information sharing; network services and information assurance; and systems integration. The company's customers include the Homeland Security Department's Customs and Border Protection bureau and the Coast Guard. CACI also performs homeland-security related work for the Justice Department.

J.P. "Jack" London, CACI's chairman, president and chief executive officer, recently attributed the company's growth to a focus on national security and intelligence. He also said that the company may pursue companies engaged in Homeland Security Department business as acquisition candidates.
