Inscom picks services' vendors
The Army's Intelligence and Security Command chose four companies to compete for $209 million in task orders for support services.
Officials at the Army's Intelligence and Security Command (Inscom) recently awarded contracts to four companies to compete for $209 million in task orders for support services.
They include L-3 Communications, Science Applications International Corp., Sytex and the Intelligence Enterprise Joint Venture industry team. The joint venture consists of BAE Systems, EWA-IIT, ManTech International and Northrop Grumman, said an industry official familiar with the procurement.
The five-year deal calls for officials at the four companies to vie for work in seven areas. They include:
Acquisition.
Administrative support.
Audio and visual information.
Force management.
Information technology and management.
Intelligence, security and information operations.
Resource management.
"We have a long history of commitment and dedication to the worldwide and multidisciplined requirements of the program," said Eugene Renzi, president of ManTech's Defense Systems Group, in a Jan. 24 company statement.
Employees at the four companies will work with Inscom officials here and abroad. The command's workforce provides intelligence, security and information operations support to the Army's commanders and soldiers.
