Air Force picks four environmental vendors
Vendors will share work under the $850 million Global Engineering, Integration and Technical Assistance program.
Air Force officials announced yesterday they selected four companies to compete for work under the $850 million Global Engineering, Integration and Technical Assistance program at the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence.
The winning companies include Booz Allen Hamilton, Portage Environmental, Systems Research and Applications and TEAM Integrated Engineering. Officials at the four firms will offer services three areas, including engineering and technical; management and professional; and studies, analysis and evaluation, according to a Dec. 28 Defense Department contracts' statement.
Air Force officials can issue job orders up to $850 million, although their requirements may necessitate less than this amount. Work under the program covers the service's sites worldwide, according to the DOD statement.
The five-year contract runs through November 2010. Air Force officials started the solicitation in June and completed negotiations for it in November, according to the statement.
