ICF wins E-Travel contract
The company will get $18 million over five years for performance evaluation, acquisition support and market analysis.
The General Services Administration has awarded ICF Consulting Group Inc. a 5-year $18 million contract to support the E-Travel initiative.
Fairfax, Va.-based ICF Consulting will measure and manage the program through performance evaluation, acquisition support and market analysis, company officials announced today. E-Travel, one of 24 e-government initiatives, will allow agencies to plan travel, make reservations and reimburse employee expenses while reducing the overall cost of travel management. Agencies are expected to begin moving to the federal system by Dec. 31, 2004, and complete the migration by Sept. 30, 2006.
ICF Consulting is a management, technology and policy consulting firm with experience in project management e-government solutions, according to company officials.
"We are in the unique position of being able to leverage our extensive [information technology], e-Government and change management experience to support E-Travel," said Paul Anninos, ICF's senior vice president of enterprise IT solutions. "It is exciting to apply that experience, in addition to our acquisition support capabilities, to sustain this transformational initiative."
