Menu system makes work easier

When I first got to this office, each department was doing their own thing with reports and inputting information and collecting information.

What I did was use Microsoft Corp. Access to create a menu system with links to Microsoft Word and Excel. All departments can use it to do reports and input information and automatically do monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for the supervisors and department heads. This has greatly reduced the time for putting reports and information together that department heads need for their supervisors.

The menu system is on a shared drive so all can access the information and reduce errors. It has worked so well that some of our other offices have asked me to help them develop one for them.

Since I have put the menu system together, the supervisors and employees have come up with things that they want me to add to the system to help them out even more and make things easier for them to do their work. Some of them have even said that it makes them want to do reports and enter information.

It is a good feeling knowing that employees like and don't mind doing their work.
