E-procurement product on schedule

AMS and Ariba announced that their combined electronic procurement solution will be available on AMS' GSA schedule

American Management Systems Inc. and Ariba Inc. announced last week that

their combined electronic procurement solution will be available on AMS'

General Services Administration schedule.

The companies announced last December that they would integrate Ariba's

e-commerce application with AMS' back-office financial and procurement systems

to give AMS' federal users a way to take advantage of Internet-based buying.

Specifically, the companies are integrating the Ariba Buyer application

into the next maintenance upgrade of AMS' Momentum Financials and Federal

Financial System (FFS) solutions scheduled for release later this quarter.

At that time, Momentum and FFS license-holders under the GSA schedule contract

for AMS' Financial Management Systems Solutions will receive the Ariba Buyer

application at no extra cost. This will allow them to pilot the integrated

AMS/Ariba e-commerce solution.
