FCW's weekly lineup of federal IT decisionmakers on the move
Two Office of Personnel Management teams recently received the Hammer Award.
The Investigations Service, headed by team leader Richard Ferris, won the
award for its work on the establishment of the first employee-owned, private
sector firm arising from a federal government operation.
OPM's Retirement and Insurance Service, headed by team leader William
Flynn, III, won for its work with the Railroad Retirement Board to create
a data-matching program, which enables RRB to more effectively manage its
benefits payments.
Dierdre Murray this month was named group manager for market development
at Sprint's Government Systems Division (GSD). In her new position, she
will enhance the division's presence in the federal marketplace and coordinate
all GSD marketing efforts. Murray most recently served as market development
manager at GTE Government Systems. Last year she co-chaired the 1999 Industry
Advisory Council Executive Leadership Conference.
Patricia Stipe was recently promoted to branch manager at Sprint GSD, replacing
Nancy Mercure. Stipe was previously senior data sales manager.
Pam Rackley was recently named the new account manager for the departments
of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Housing and Urban Development.
Rackley was most recently a government services account representative for
Sprint in the General Services Administration.
Mark Hutchison recently joined Sprint as the new account manager for GSA,
the Legislative Branch, and the National Labor Relations Board. He was previously
in sales and engineering at Bell Atlantic.
Charlene Wheeless was recently named vice president of corporate communications
at DynCorp. She was most recently director of corporate communications at
DynCorp. Wheeless is also vice-chair and incoming chair of the Northern
Virginia Technology Council Communications Committee.
