John McCain, R-Ariz., who almost boastingly stated during his 2008 presidential campaign, "I don't e-mail," and then watched his opponent Barack Obama digitally fly past him to claim the presidency. The nearly 74-year-old senator came in at the No. 1 spot among senators in a Digital IQ ranking.

The list was compiled by Doug Guthrie, dean of the GW School of Business, and Scott Galloway, a marketing professor at NYU's Stern School of Business.
They said, "During the 2008 campaign, John McCain got his first Blackberry in January 2009 and took to the Twittersphere. On the heels of his presidential bid, McCain quickly garnered 1.7 million Twitter followers and 630,000 Facebook 'likes,' helping the Arizona Senator capture the number one spot."
Surprisingly, others disagree.
