The Pentagon has struggled for years to make its business processes more responsive to the needs of warfighters. “We have tried to build these massive integrated data bases. They don’t work,” says the Defense Department’s Chief Architect and Chief Technology Officer in the business mission area Dennis Wisnosky. But semantic architecture now holds enormous promise for changing that dynamic, he says.
