Army to test enterprise e-mail for all of DoD

The Army has volunteered to demonstrate how enterprisewide e-mail will work for all of the Defense Department. The service will issue a request for proposals in the next few weeks looking for a vendor to provide e-mail services for the entire service. If all goes well, Lt. Gen. Jeff Sorenson, the Army chief information officer, says the service will hand the new capability over to the Defense Information Systems Agency to run for all of DoD.
