Microsoft Office deal opens to most at Defense

Employees can buy the software suite for their home computers for $9.95.

Under a  licensing deal signed in December, Army and Defense Information Systems Agency employees can now buy Microsoft Office 2013 -- which includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint -- for their home computers for the bargain price of $9.95, versus a suggested retail price of more than $100, a Microsoft spokeswoman said.

Navy and Marines users will also be able to take advantage of this home-use offer under a contract signed in July, 2012, she said.

Microsoft makes home-use purchase easy, at this website.

I think anyone paying full retail for Office 2013 must be a sucker, as our parent company, Atlantic Media, announced the same home use deal for Office 2013 today.
