The Pentagon’s $8B Bean Counting Mess

New financial and accounting system is behind schedule and way over budget.
The Defense Department Inspector General reported last Friday that new financial and accounting systems planned for the department are $8 billion over budget and delayed anywhere from one and a half to 12.5 years.
This surely sets some sort of record for the Pentagon, where stuff likes this always takes longer and costs more to develop than anticipated.
