Stolen Israeli Credit Cards Allegedly Are Funding Palestinian Charities

Pro-Palestine hackers, going under the handle AnonGhost, allegedly broke into dozens of Israeli websites to acquire the credit card data.

Mauritania Attacker, AnonGhost's founder, told the Daily Dot that the group has donated $18,000 to a number of Palestinian charities via fraudulent credit card charges.

"We hope that we will make Israel lose money and as much possible," the hacker said.

Purported evidence of the fraud was posted online in the form of screenshots, which claim to show thousands of dollars being transferred to "Keeping the Children of Gaza Alive," an apparent Palestinian fundraising campaign.

Recent activity on the campaign’s webpage indicates that separate payments of $2,000 and $200 were received from a user named “Anonghost Team.”

AnonGhost has been acting up against Israel since 2008, and over just the past week, the group has infiltrated around 255 websites, the majority of which are Israeli, according to outside research. Mauritania Attacker places the figure closer to 10,000.

Mauritania Attacker said, "We were never associated with Anonymous. They're a group of kids with masks that play with keyboards," adding that his group is much older.
