Amazon-owned Twitch Says It’s Probably Been Hacked

The details are scant at this point.

“We are writing to let you know that there may have been unauthorized access to some Twitch user account information,” states a March 23 notice on the company’s website.

Twitch said in emails to those potentially affected that their password, email address, user name, home address, phone number and date of birth may have been accessed.

The passwords possibly compromised are encrypted but still could’ve been accessed, according to Twitch.

The company has about 100 million viewers on average per month.
