Hacked Russian news site renames citizens 'Nazis'

Media // Russia

Amid ongoing unrest in Ukraine, an unknown entity penetrated the Russia Today (RT) site to insert the term for Hitler’s fascist German government into several conflict-related headlines.

One line read: “Russian senators vote to use stabilizing Nazi forces on Ukrainian territory.”

Another headline stated: “Up to 143,000 Nazis requested asylum in Russia in two weeks,” according to Stormfront.

“RT has just started to edit the articles back to the proper title, some hacker group obviously, is trying to slander Ukraine and Russia,” Stormfront reports. “Maybe McCain learned how to use a computer.”

The defacement occurred Sunday morning and the site was restored by the end of the day.
