Year over year job postings are up 162 percent for cybersecurity professionals.

If you’re a technology professional, chances are your salary is inching closer to six figures -- if it’s not there already.

That’s according to new data from technology jobs website Dice.com, which found the number of tech pros earning six-figure salaries has increased for the sixth year in a row. In 2013, 32 percent of full-time technology professionals earned more than $100,000, up from 30 percent in 2012 and 26 percent in 2011.

For contractors, that percentage is even higher, with 54 percent earning more than $100,000, up from 51 percent in 2012 and 50 percent in 2011, Dice found.

Meanwhile, demand for specific tech skills continues to soar, particularly in areas like big data, mobile, cloud computing or security, according to the monthly Dice Report. Year over year job postings on Dice have grown significantly for cybersecurity professionals (up 162 percent), information security specialists (up 19 percent) and firewall pros (up 7 percent).

Big data job postings also have grown (up 46 percent), with particular emphasis in areas like NoSQL (up 54 percent), Hadoop (up 43 percent) and Python (up 16 percent), Dice found. Demand is also rising for Software as a Service developers and project managers (up 20 percent), cloud professionals (up 27 percent) and user interface and user experience experts (up 18 percent).
