New setup will allow secure, 24-hour access to gyms.

The Air Force Personnel Center’s services directorate wants to acquire a system to provide secure, automated access to 50 or more fitness centers on a 24/7 basis.

The Air Force envisions that authorized personnel will be able to enter gyms using common access cards. In addition to common access card readers, the contractor will provide commercial grade video cameras for surveillance of the facilities, the Air Force said.

The fitness center system will operate on a stand-alone basis with no Internet connection and will be purchased through a non-appropriated fund account.

This makes me feel more analog than usual.
