HHS to buy $60 million in peripherals
Department officials hope to save money on monitors, digital cameras and other items.
Department of Health and Human Services officials are looking for vendors that can supply more than $60 million worth of information technology peripherals over the next two years.
The request for information (RFI) is part of a departmentwide strategic sourcing initiative intended to save money across HHS' many operating and staff divisions. Officials plan to award at least one blanket purchase agreement off the General Services Administration's Federal Supply Service schedule that will include monitors, digital cameras and other peripherals.
There will be a two-year base contract, with three one-year options, for the hardware and on-site support. Responses to the RFI are due Jan. 15, 2004.
